How to Play Rope Chef
Rope Chef is a physics puzzle about cooking, and the puzzle is the timing. Ingredients hang from ropes above a pot, and cutting a rope at the wrong moment sends the wrong thing in, or misses entirely. The recipe card at the top of the screen gives the order, and getting it right serves the dish; dropping the wrong ingredient first makes Nibbs, the steamed-bun chef, swoon. Fifty short levels are spread across fourteen cuisines, each with its own dishes and its own twist, and each world adds its own obstacle to the swing, from bounce pads and fans to a moving pot, a hot pan, portals, conveyor belts, flippers, wind, a decoy pot, burning ropes and slippery ice. Up to three stars per dish come from serving it, grabbing the spice and beating par time.
Key mechanics
- Cut a rope by clicking or dragging across it
- Three stars come from serving the dish, grabbing the spice and beating par time
