How to Play Bug Crunch
Bug Crunch is a stomping game with a multiplier on top. Something is crawling across a picnic blanket and you are the shoe: dragging moves the foot, a tap delivers a quick stomp, and holding charges a ground-shaking slam. Speed is rewarded, because squishing quickly builds a Splat Chain whose multiplier climbs as high as fifty, and the music speeds up along with it. Filling the Juice vial opens Splat Fever, which swaps the shoe for a golden giant for ten seconds and flattens whatever it lands on. Forty levels are spread across four worlds, with ten bugs, four bosses and six shoes that unlock as you play. The whole thing is designed to need no reading at all — the controls are tap, hold and release — which is unusual for a game with this much going on.
