How to Play Cake Stack
Cake Stack is a hyper-casual runner where the score is a physical object. A small yellow character runs along a track, and the cake grows as layers are stacked on it, so a good run is visible rather than just numerical. Obstacles have to be dodged and golden coins collected along the way, and the coins go into a shop that sells characters and skins. Everything is one tap or one click, which is why the game can be picked up without explanation. There are many levels, and the shop and unlockables give the coins somewhere to go beyond the score. Running out of moves is not the end of the run either: a video can revive the character and the attempt continues. The pitch is the familiar easy-to-learn, hard-to-master one, and it holds up.
